You could actually chat on orkut thru' scrapping and as u have got a gmail id u can sign in to Google Talk and as soon as you recieve a scrp reply.... u get a msg buzz... and hence u kno that the person u r chattin' vid has replied...!

Reply:if you got your gmail id then just go to orkut.com and click sign up.they will tell you to sign in by your google account.now sign in using your gamil id and password .now you would be signed in
and you would be made to write about yourself like your name,passions,height , sports etc.etc.etc. then you can chat on orkut by scrapping each other and joining the communities.
if you want to chat on google then jsut download google talk from google or from http://www.filehippo.com.
